Mac Os Mojave
The server is a G5 running OS X Server 10.5.3. The network has 5 other Macs and 10 Windows XP Pro PCs. One of the Macs running 10.5.6 lost its connection to the server and attempts to reconnect via 'Finder' get a message 'Connection failed.'
